Did you feel the Joy?

Could you feel the JOY emanating from the general vicinity of Park Lane in Dallas on Saturday?  That was us: finding joy, sharing it and spreading it around!  If you couldn’t feel it, then perhaps you need to get closer and come to our next retreat!

Here are some of the comments from our Finding More Joy in your Life retreat:

 Favorite Moments:

“The power point from Robin was such a great visual aid.”

“I liked the tools given; they were practical and thought provoking.”

“Very positive and inspirational!”

“Speakers and presentations were interesting and informative.  Lunch was delicious!”

“Surreal!”

“I liked the mix of lecture and interaction.”

 Favorite take-aways:

To surround myself with positive people and savor every moment!

Joy is an inside job!

Knowing that I need more freedom and that I feel secure because of my family.

And, once again, so you don’t think that we are just sharing the good news.  There were only 2 comments on what we can improve:

“I loved it last time when the retreat began with the keynote speaker with a very honest story of her life.  I would love to see that again.”  –  Duly noted.  Each retreat will be very different, but it is great to know what you find most inspirational so we can include more of that in each retreat.

“I didn’t care for the breakout groups but I am sure they were useful.” – Thanks for this comment.  Some people like this kind of interaction and some don’t and we completely understand.

The Reviews are in!

Here’s what the participants at our first retreat, Surrendering your Fears, had to say about the retreat:

“We all go through painful experiences and this retreat helped to lead us to what is next.”

“I loved being reminded how much we all have in common.”

“Women sharing with women, discovering their commonalities and desires to grow and share.”

“I Just love knowing we are all so different, but we are all the same in so many ways.”

“I found the clarity to where I need to focus my healing.”

“I liked the mood and the speakers- very real and inspiring – really good info.”

“Robin’s part really inspired me- so honest and powerful. Michelle seemed to be speaking to exactly to what I need to do. Also- main point- love and accept yourself so you can love and accept others.”

“Too many favorite takeaways to mention.”

“I enjoyed having several presenters and usable tools.”

“It seemed well thought out and orchestrated.”

And, just so you don’t think we only asked for the good stuff; here’s what people thought could be improved:

“Weekend retreats.”   (someday…..)
“More small groups and break out sessions.” (Which we ARE adding to the next retreat!)
“I would like retreat to be longer.”  (someday…..)
“Brrrrr…” (It was chilly in the room – we hope to improve this for the next one, but, just in case, bring a coat!)

Thank you to all who participated in the first retreat!  We had such an amazing group of women who showed up completely open and ready to move forward with their lives.  It was an inspiration to the Retreat Team too!
